yeah. i know about it. robert triplett used to race it. it used to have a 3tc toyota in in it. he did very well in the car. i know that the car could use some freshening because it sat for a while but with some tlc will be a good one. i think the floor on the drivers side is ripped a little but could be repaired easily. is the car in oregon?

Should be celica on the front but might have been modified to run aftermarket springs and or adjusters for ride height. What is the track size you will be running it on? fernley is a 3/8 mile, long straight with sweeping corners, not tight corners, and always dry slick.

with the 3t on a quater mile. find some 4.10 gears. what tire are you running? will26 is correct on the front end. its just celica with 2.5 id coilover springs. they werent adjustable i dont think. he just welded a ring around the strut for the spring to sit on.

Don't know your rules, but ours say you only have to have brakes on three wheels, if your car is set up like that it will help you turn it, but it takes some getting used to. Been racing mine like that for a year and if I need to get on the brakes hard I am off to the infield!lol Trying to drive it without using the brakes at all, but that takes time to get it down.

Is your car an eight bolt rear or a ten bolt? simply count the number of bolts that hold the third member to the rear end housing, this will determine what car to look for to try and find the right gear.( I am assuming that you are like most all of us and don't have lots of cash to buy new) You might also try dwarf car sites, dwarfs run toyota rears, might get lucky, but they won't be cheap. But first we need to know which rear end is in your car.

My car is a 1971 corrolla with leaf spring rear so its different, the front is real similar, I run my front springs reversed( right front is a lighter spring than the left ) but I just did this for the last race and I liked it. We did this in a modified years ago, and no matter how it entered the corner it would always turn. I think I have a 50# difference in my springs I wouldn't go much if any more than that, but try it and see if you like it.

that car didn't come with a 3tc from the factory, but it had a taller and longer motor in it. You might want to check brdracing.com.

dennis and i both run custom 180 degree headers. dans is a hooker header. zack has a high boy design from japan. i would go with the schoenfeld or talk to randy at BRD. there are a lot of them on ebay usually too.
