any word on what they voted on letting "pro-4's" run at the gold rush. where are the cars coming from? i find it funny they would let them run but not let my brother because of his body shape last year or lack of MUD FLAPS. he he... or are they refering to the mod minis from our end of the state? let us know dock. would love to come try again.

It was decided in the general meeting last wednesday to let the Pro 4's run at Summit Raceway for Gold Rush. As long as your car meets the Mini Mod / Pro-4 rules for Elko, Winnemucca, Lovelock, or Fallon, bring it over. Mud Flaps, 2 day grace race, no need for them if you are pulling over! If you need any further clarification, please contact one of the board members listed on www.summitraceway.comAlso, go to the web site to see the bit on added money for Gold Rush. The more cars that show up, the bigger the payout.

i was working out of town so i didn't make the meeting. i keep trying to tell them that the pro 4's in Nevada are just mod minis fernley changed the name a few years ago but kept the mod mini rules they are steel the same as us but i guise some of the tracks allow Major suspension changes although i haven't noticed there rules changes but i haven't really checked since i went mod racing 4 years ago and your brother could have ran with his body last year as that was the first year we allowed after market body's lol. i haven't checked the rules this year ether since I'm running my mini all season with the motor on the edge with a cracked head i haven't ran out of town this year. thank god for bars-leak. i think i well go to fallen this year any body els going

we have taken out all of the mini suspension tweaks that were added. the suspension must match front and back for the chassis being used. so we will of course be runnin the DTC's in fallon. have to support them for supporting us this season when we were displaced with RFR closing again. and i want to run elko again. need to find some gears. my car was way off last time. still have my little engine in so it will all just be for fun.

We should have at least 6 Minis from Elko at Gold Rush. We would like to see at least double that. Remember, $25 per car will be added to the payout for the class with no changes to the payout system. (Friday only, still working on sponsorship for saturday) Battle Mountain is also having a big payout for their Silver Cup on Sept. 18 & 19. $500 to win in all classes, if 15 cars show up, $1000 to win. Randy Artz has a posting on the Lovelock Bulletin Board. I'm sure they will accomidate the Minis if they let him know they plan to be there. I believe that 3 or 4 Elko minis also plan to go to the DTC's in Fallon. We will be taking our Mini, Pure Stock and 1 or 2 GEN-X. Never been there, sounds like fun!

mini27, Did you ever get any pics of the mini yet? I would like to see what my old car looks like now. I haven't seen a glimpse of it since the day you came to Fernley and picked it up... Stephen, I think your "little engine" is faster than any big engine I ever had! LOL

You know what, I don't even have any pictures yet. We have only raced it on a limited schedule this year. Myself and both of my sons have all raced it. Hopefully we will get it on some scales before Gold Rush. We haven't won yet, but it does let them know we are there. Only goes to show that you don't have to pour your entire bank account into a mini to be competative. I will check and see if anyone has pictures. Are you going to try and be at any of the races coming up?

We have at least 6 local minis that will be running at Gold Rush and 1 from Winnemucca has said they will be here. We have opened up the rules to allow all the Northern NV. tracks to come over and run. $25 per car for the first 10 will be added on Friday night. The extra money will be distributed with the regular payouts. The entrance fee is $45 per night or $80 for both nights if you pay for both on Friday night. The combined winner of the two nights will be crowned the class Gold Rush Champion. Along with a Gold Rush Champion trophy, the Gold Rush winner will get and added pay out. The more cars we get, the more money you could win, not only per night, but for the over all average for the 2 nights. Hope to see everyone here.
